    Claridge Court is a not-for-profit Life Care community, also known as a Life Plan Community or CCRC, in Prairie Village, KS. Residents enjoy an independent lifestyle today with priority access to on-site health services if their needs ever change, all within a small, close-knit community where neighbors know each other by name. 
  3. What levels of care does Claridge Court offer?
    Claridge Court offers independent living plus on-site skilled nursing and rehabilitation. The rehabilitation center is purpose-built, with state-of-the-art equipment and therapy programs built around each resident's specific goals, and the skilled nursing wing has been renovated.   4. Can I get help in my own residence if I need it?
    Yes. Through Lifespace Personal Services, residents at Claridge Court can receive personalized support right in their own residence, from help with daily routines such as bathing and getting dressed, to wellness reminders like blood pressure checks, light housekeeping, and recovery support after a hospital stay. Team members are Lifespace employees, screened, trained, and supervised directly by the organization, so families are not responsible for hiring or oversight.   5. What is the difference between independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing?
    Independent living is for active adults who want a maintenance-free lifestyle with amenities and community. Assisted living adds daily support with things like bathing, dressing, grooming, and medication management for people who no longer want to manage those tasks alone but do not need medical care. Skilled nursing provides 24-hour licensed medical care and rehabilitation. At Claridge Court, many of those assisted living tasks can be delivered right in your own residence through Lifespace Personal Services, alongside on-site skilled nursing and rehabilitation. 
  6. What happens if my care needs change over time?
    As a Life Care community, Claridge Court gives residents priority access to on-site skilled nursing and rehabilitation if their needs change, with no need to move to a new community or start over. Because the community is small, the clinical team already knows you, your history, and your preferences. You stay in familiar surroundings, close to the neighbors and team members you trust. 
  7. Can I keep my own doctor?
    Yes. Residents at Claridge Court are welcome to keep their own physicians, and the community's Kansas City location puts a wide range of medical providers within easy reach. Scheduled transportation is available for outside appointments, and our team can help coordinate as needed.

    Life Care is a contract that gives Claridge Court residents priority access to skilled nursing and rehabilitation for the rest of their lives at a predictable, plan-based rate.   9. How does Life Care pricing work?
    Life Care at Claridge Court typically involves a one-time entrance fee plus a monthly service fee, which together secure priority access to future care at a predictable, plan-based rate. Pricing varies based on the residence you choose and your care plan. Contact our team for a personalized overview and to explore what fits your goals. 
  10. What happens if I outlive my financial resources?
    Claridge Court is part of Lifespace Communities, which maintains a benevolence fund through the Lifespace Foundation. This means Life Care residents who outlive their financial resources through no fault of their own can continue to be supported and cared for, offering an added layer of security and peace of mind. 
  11. What amenities and services are available at Claridge Court?
    Claridge Court offers country club-style amenities including three dining venues and a private dining room, a fitness center and aerobics studio with weekly classes from certified instructors, an art studio, a movie theater, a library, a card room, a game room, spacious lounges, a salon and barbershop, and manicured outdoor spaces on a gated campus. Residents also enjoy a complimentary car wash, custom wellness programming, cultural events, clubs, and excursions into Kansas City. Weekly housekeeping, everyday utilities, and 24-hour security are included. 
  12. What dining options are available?
    Claridge Court offers three distinct dining venues: the Dining Room, The Grille, and The Pub. Chef-prepared menus change daily with a range of choices and alternatives, and attention is paid to quality, variety, and special dietary needs. Dining is a social centerpiece of daily life in this small, close-knit community. 
  13. Can I keep my pet?
    Yes, Claridge Court is a pet-friendly community, and pets are warmly welcomed. The gated campus includes manicured grounds and outdoor spaces for you and your pet to enjoy. Some guidelines may apply, so we recommend confirming the details for your specific pet with our team. 
  14. Can I still travel and maintain my independence?
    Absolutely. Independent living at Claridge Court is designed around freedom. You come and go as you please, travel whenever you like, and enjoy elegant, maintenance-free residences with the everyday upkeep handled for you. The community supports your independence while offering peace of mind that on-site care is there if you ever need it. 
  15. Can my family visit or stay overnight?
    Yes. Family and friends are always welcome at Claridge Court, whether joining you for a meal in one of the dining venues, an event, or a visit. The community encourages connection with loved ones, and your team can share details on guest accommodations and visiting. 
  16. Can couples with different care needs live together?
    Yes. As a Life Care community, Claridge Court is designed to support couples even when their care needs differ. One partner can receive on-site skilled nursing or rehabilitation while the other continues independent living, keeping you close and connected on the same campus.   18. Is there a waitlist, and how do I get started?
    Claridge Court is a sought-after community and is often at full occupancy, so there are two ways to plan ahead. The Claridge Club secures your spot on the official wait list, with early access to available residences before they are made public, community updates, and invitations to select events. Qualified individuals can also move into a smaller available residence now while staying first in line for their preferred floor plan. Contact our team to talk through which option fits your timing.
